Benefits of the Summer Booster
-
- Reinforces Key Concepts – giving the student a better grasp of subject content and addresses any gaps in their knowledge
-
- Customised Teaching – every student has different needs and we centre each session around your child and narrow in on the areas they need the most help in
-
- Clearing misconceptions and giving reassurance in areas where your teenager has doubt.
- Teaches problem solving and exam technique, after starting from a deeper understanding.
-
- Booking flexibility – prevents disruption to your holiday plans
-
- Prevents Summer learning loss – ensuring your child gets a head start in the autumn
- Boosts your child's grade and significantly increases their confidence to succeed in their final year
-
- The final year GCSE or A-level is shorter than the first. The Summer Booster helps to ensure a confident start to the autumn term. This is vital for those who are going to the final year of their GCSE or A-level.
Your child ends up with a Much-Improved Subject Knowledge and Mastery of Exam Technique
Format of the course
How our Summer Boosters work
GCSE – a four-day, one-to-one course for each subject
A-level – a six-day, one-to-one course for each subject
Each teaching session lasts for two hours, with a short break in the middle. However, the student is expected to do about two hours of work in between lessons
The student is set questions for exam practice after each lesson, and feedback is provided at the start of the next lesson
We may sometimes cover the lessons in fewer or more teaching sessions than indicated here. The total will still amount to the same number of teaching hours.
Flexibility – our One-to-one courses can be booked with your preferred dates in mind meaning they won't be getting in the way of your holiday plans!
Dates of the courses: flexible bookings in July and August

Classes are delivered online via live video on Zoom.
Yes, the lessons will be 1:1 and tailored to your child's needs.
However, in the case that there is more than one student doing the same subject in that slot, the lesson time will be double. For this, there is a limit of 4 students per session.
Our Summer Booster classes are taught by highly qualified professional teachers, with several years of teaching experience. More can be found about our teachers here.
Absolutely. While we specialise in preparing students for their final year of GCSEs and A levels, these classes can definitely be tailored to younger students who will be taught materials according to their requirements.
Yes. A student can book two sessions for the same subjects, so for example 4 days for GCSE in the same subject. This will be priced accordingly.
Who is this programme suitable for?
Young people who are studying for GCSE (including IGCSE) or A-level and who are of at least average ability.
Our programmes are not suitable for young people who are academically very weak and who may, perhaps, not be capable of achieving Grade 5 at GCSE or Grade C at A-level.
No, it does not necessarily mean that they are currently working at that grade before they join us.
Most of our students are aiming for grades between B and A*, but many are not at that level before they join us. Some of them, perhaps, have unfulfilled potential and as a result of attending our courses, those grades are notched up.
