Online Saturday Classes – Additional Information – 2020-21 Academic year
Structure of the term for Saturday classes
The academic year consists of 26 Saturdays in total. The first two weeks of the Diagnostic and Alignment sessions are followed by three terms, with each term consisting of 8 Saturdays. Classes are held on Saturdays during term time, and also during some half terms.
At KS4 (GCSE, IGCSE) and KS3 (Y7, Y8 and Y9) each Saturday, students spend one hour and fifteen minutes on each subject o
KS3 and GCSE classes are usually held between 9.00am and 3.30pm. GCSE or IGCSE students who enrol for Triple Science usually stay for an extra hour and 15 minutes. Most of our students study English, Maths and Science and spend just over four hours with us on a Saturday. However, a student does not have to do all the subjects, they can do one or two if they wish. There is a maximum of 8 students per class at KS3 and KS4.
AS and A2 spend 2 hours per subject each Saturday and a student can do up to 3 subjects on a Saturday. Classes start at 9.00am and some classes are scheduled for the afternoon and do not finish until about 6pm or later. There is a maximum of 6 students per class and tuition is focused on each individual student according to their exam board. A programme is set up for the student after the initial Diagnostic and Alignment sessions.

In case you wish to discuss any of our programmes with us, please call us on 020 7112 4832 and a senior member of our advisory team will be happy to speak to you. We have an open day in September, during which parents are welcome to visit and meet our teachers. Most people enrol well before the open day. If you enrol with us, and for some reason you wish to withdraw after the open day, you can do so at no cost to you as any fees you might have paid will be fully refunded. In addition to the main open day in September, we also have an open door policy, whereby parents can visit on a Saturday. You will have the opportunity to attend with your family, to meet the teachers and to discuss and ask questions as you wish.

All Science options, except for Triple Science, count as two subjects as two hours are spent on it each week. Physics, Chemistry and Biology are all included. Students who are studying Triple Science may choose to spend three hours on Science but this is not compulsory as they may just want to spend two hours. Where they spend three hours, it counts as three subjects.
